Ed and Cathy's house was draughty and difficult to keep warm, to the point they needed to wear jumpers even when the heating was on. As keen environmentalists with a strong interest in energy conservation and an eye for detail, they made perfect clients  for MMHG.

Being semi-detached, we suggested insulating the side and rear of their house externally, including the area that many retrofit installations avoid - down and into the ground level below the Damp Proof Course (DPC). This is a vital area and should always be considered when insulating externally, as leaving it open to the elements is a lot like wearing a dressing gown on a cold night but not putting slippers on.

MMHG like to view work holistically, so when a drainage issue was highlighted we suggested installing a French drain to ensure the water run-off from the garden was kept away from the rear walls. Our installers are also accomplished builders and have many years of experience in all areas of building work.
